A panel discussion on World Intellectual Property Day was held under the auspices of Center for Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) and Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Pakistan
The event had three sessions. In first session, a panel discussion was held based on this year’s theme “Powering Change: Women in Innovation & Creativity”.
In the second session, Dr. Vaqar Ahmed, Joint Executive Director of Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) who presented “Women Leaders in Copyright Industries” Report published by SDPI.
The last session was a fireside chat with Ms. Shadnana Gulzar Khan, Legal Adviser to Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan.
Experts threw light on the significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and emphasized on the need to create awareness among masses and to hold training workshops on IPRs.
